Gap
settings. This is a table of equivalent metric and imperial plug
gap settings - useful if you have imperial feeler gauges and a metric
setting (and vice versa). Many parts by NGK and Denso are suffixed
by a number (e.g. -11, -13 etc.) these numbers actually specify the
factory preset gap setting as 1.1mm, 1.3mm etc.

settings This is a table of general values for recommended tightening
torques for various cylinder head (i.e. aluminium, cast iron), plugs
seat type (i.e. tapered or flat with gasket) and plug size/diameter
(i.e. 8mm thru 18mm). It is important to use the correct torque setting
when fitting to avoid damage to the cylinder head and spark plug. |
